Last weekend myself and a friend enjoyed a Prosecco afternoon tea at the Thistle Hotel on Poole Quay.
I was lucky to be gifted this as a present from my old work colleagues as they know how much I love a good foodie outing.
On arrival we were greated and given a nice window seat. It was just a shame that it was raining outside so the view wasn’t as good as it could of been, however that wasn’t going to spoil our afternoon fun.

A fresh bottle of bubbles was opened for us and a chilled glass of prosecco poured. It was a added bonus to sip on while awaiting our tea and treats.

We could have the option of tea or coffee. Jackie and myself opted for tea, however it was a bit disappointing there was no selection of teas to choose from.
Our food arrived layed out nicely on a three tier cake stand containing; Sandwiches (egg mayo, ham with tomato and tuna mayo with cucumber) Cakes (cream horn, carrot cake, lemon cake, chocolate layer slice, victoria sponge and a cream slice) and finally two fruit scones with jam and clotted cream. All were nice and fresh, yummy and finished by both of us. Thats right, not even a cake in sight to take home!
One question for you all… What goes first the Jam or the Cream?

Jam always first.

Hi Andrea, thanks for your comment.
I’m unable to do vouchers but if you’re looking for something similar to what I reviewed here, Groupon are normally really good.
Hope that helps?
