Sea Buck Tonic

**AD – Gifted**

I’m all for trying new mixers with Gin as Indian Tonic just doesn’t always bring out the botanicals and compliment as I’d like it too. Others may disagree but on my journey with Gin so far I’ve learnt that the way you serve a drink will either make the Gin disappoint or bring it to life.

I first tried Sea Buck Tonic a few years a go when my dad brought me back some from a trip to Cornwall. Since then I’ve not really been able to find it, but after getting in contact with the company Pablo kindly gifted me a sample box to try.

These guys do not disappoint when it comes to a tonic. If you looking for something edgy, with a bit of spice and vibrance then this is the tonic for you. Created by Pablo and Charlie, the guys set out to make their own take on the iconic tonic within their hometown of St Ives. Yeah you’ve guessed another reason why I love this company, and your see another in a minute!

Made using three key ingredients – Water from the Moors, Tonic from the Bark and Berries from the Dunes. Both Pablo and Charlie have done a great job at keeping everything sourced locally with Cornwall. They use proper Cornish spring water from the moors. They extract their quinine from cinchona bark and with keeping it natural your notice this is not a tonic like any other due to it’s colour. Lastly the name comes from the sea buck berries foraged from the dunes of Gwithian. They offer a citrusy wild flavour.

The Taste Test

Pablo kindly gifted me a mixed box of tonics to sample and explore with. Within this box you get 4x Premium Tonics, 2x Light Tonics, 2x Dry Tonics, 2x Cucumber & Mint tonics and 2x Blackberry & Honey Tonics.

If your looking for a tonic made in the UK from fresh ingredients from our South Coast then go and check these guys out!
