By now everyone should be aware of the #tacotuesday trend over social media, and if you don’t then sadly I don’t know if we can be friends as Mexican food is one of my favourites.
The Duck in Westbourne hold a Taco night every Tuesday and my god is it worth it! With individual tacos for £3, 1/2 price nachos and £6 Margaritas, you really can not go wrong with that can you?
I visit The Duck regularly, however had never been on a Taco Tuesday before. When I visited a few weeks back with a friend for a much needed catch up, I of course opted for three different tacos. Why wouldn’t you when they are £3 each, instead of the normal menu price? My choices were Bang Chicken, Pulled Pork and Popcorn Cauliflower. All were served in a soft shell taco with lettuce and topped with salsa and pico de gallo. Out of the three the Pulled Pork had to be my favourite, which between you and me I normally hate pork.
We shared a portion of nachos between us which were massive! Served with sour cream, salsa, guacamole, cheese and beef chilli. The tortilla crisps where handmade and the best I’ve ever tasted! They also do a veggie option too.
Lastly the drinks and why not go all out and have all the offers for the night, right? Yes you guessed it I went with the Margarita, not normally my go to cocktail, but it was nice and refreshing alongside some spicy food.
Would I recommend heading to The Duck on a Tuesday? Hell yes, but I’d also advise booking too!
