These guys now have two bases in Poole and Bournemouth, both with completely different vibes. Having been to both sites I’d say it truly depends on what type of day or evening out you are looking for. Both sites I’ve noticed may also differ in Pizza options so if you end up loving these guy’s as much as me go check them out at both!
Butchers Dog, Ashley Cross
Their first base was and is still is The Butchers dog in Ashley Cross. Being a bar which serves a wide range of craft beers, for me there is no better way to eat a pizza than with an iced cold pint. The perfect place for a Friday or Saturday night out and always keep your eyes peeled for when they have bands on!
Urban Garden, Bournemouth
Their second base which opened this year is at Urban Garden in Bournemouth. This place gives off Amalfi Coast and cocktail vibes. Situated in The Urban Garden Street Food Terrace, you can eat pizza and sip on cocktail while looking out over Bournemouth Gardens. It’s a perfect date night spot on a summers evening.
The Grub
Cooked in a beautiful clay oven, these wood-fire pizzas are truly to die for. Light, crispy and loaded with amazing toppings. I’ve only tried a few of their pizzas including; Pepperoni, DP’d, with Pepperoni & Hot Honey and Bravas with Potatoes, Chorizo and Peppers. Out of all three I couldn’t recommend just one and safe to say if I go and get pizza from these guys myself and whoever else I’m with tend to order two and share. However, if I really HAVE to choose it’ll be the DP’d, pepperoni with hot honey drizzled over, the most perfect combination as it’s hot, sticky and mouth wateringly perfect.
