This isn’t a drink for the faint hearted!
I’ve never really been a fan of the classic Margarita but when Double Dutch sent me through a PR package, I knew exactly what I wanted to create with their Margarita Soda.
With chilli and Cucumber already in the soda, I had to make it the way it was intended to be used. Sadly, I have no tequila on the shelf, but I’m in no short supply of gin, so you know where this is going.
Recipe
For the Rim & Garnish
- Chamoy
- Tajin
- Takis Fueo
For the Margatini
- 50ml Gin
- Double Dutch Margarita soda
1 – Rim your favourite Margarita glass or small tumbler with Chamoy and Tajin.
2 – Add some ice to the bottom of the glass.
3 – Pour over 50ml of your chosen Gin and top with Double Dutch Margarita Soda.
4 – Place a Taki on a cocktail stick and place on drink to garnish.
This isn’t a drink for the faint hearted, but if you love a drink with a kick, I suggest you give this a go. Plus, it’ll go perfectly with some amazing homemade Mexican food.
