Indi’s

I went along to Indi’s with the intention not to take photos or create content as I went with the other half as a night off from everything. Safe to say though this place was just too damn hard not to take photos or share with you all!

Indi’s can be found in the heart of Westbourne. It’s a welcoming, vibrant and well laid out restaurant and their eat in menu as a lot different too your normal Indian takeaway/restaurant.

The Poppadoms

You can’t go to an Indian and not order Poppadoms, if you do, then sadly we can’t be friends. We ordered 2x plain and 2x spicy which came with 3 dips and an onion salad. I find though with these once I start eating them I can’t stop!

Starters

I opted for the Dahi Puri, a vegetarian Indian street food which consists of deep fried hollow balls of bread filled with spicy potatoes and chickpeas, then topped a hot chutney and cooling yoghurt sauce. I actually preferred to Samosa’s, which I’d normally order. They where light, crispy and packed with amazing flavours!
Indi’s serve their Onion Bhaji’s as a side order and as Jack has an obsession with them he ordered these to come out alongside my starter. These little golden bhaji’s were incredible and fried perfectly.

The Mains

As I said earlier these guys have some different things on the menu and the one thing that had been standing out since I eyed up the menu online was their Whole Crab Balti. With chucks of crab meat in a rich and flavoursome Balti sauce it came served inside the shell along with tools to break the legs and pick out the rest of the crab meat. Absolutely divine and one I’d recommend ordering on any special occasion.
Jack loves anything spicy and you won’t find a Vindaloo on the restaurant menu, so we ordered the Garlic, Chilli Chicken which surprisingly I managed to eat quite a bit of.

The Sides

Well you can’t have curry without rice so we always go with Pilau. You also need something to mop those sauces up with so we opted for a Garlic Naan which was light and fluffy.

It’s safe to say we demolished all food that was laid out in front of us and we will both be returning again!
