Makla – Roast Review

This is my second time visiting Makla, and they definitely make some damn good food!

Last weekend a group of us ventured out for a Sunday Roast. Since seeing they have the option for a Sharing Sunday Roast for two this has been on my list to visit. Yes, you read that right a sharing roast for two people!

A roast is one of my favourite meals, be it cooked at home or when out. The one thing I will always rate my roast on however is the Yorkshire Pud, no roast can be without! So, without further ado let’s get into it…

The Roast Platter

There are three options on Makla’s Sunday Roast menu, Roast Chicken, Lamb Shank Roast and The Roast Platter. Well from the heading of this section you should no by now which one we ordered. The nice thing was all for of use wanted the same, so it was perfect!

Out came two large plates of food per two people. The first one consisted of beautifully roasted vegetables with that slight crunch. Beautiful tasting roast potatoes, which could have had a bit more crispiness for me, but you can’t have everything. A piping hot cauliflower cheese with an amazing cheese pull. The most succulent lamb shank and chicken that were marinated in Moroccan spices and fell off the bone perfectly. A small pot of gravy. And last but not least two massive Yorkshire puddings which were beautifully golden and crispy. They deserve a 10 out of 10!

Overall, I will be running back here for another roast. If you are interested in visiting the details are below, but make sure you book as you don’t want to miss out!
