Park Dean Holiday at Trecco Bay

At the end of February, we headed to Trecco Bay in Wales for a Park Dean holiday. Being Park Deans largest site, it is packed full of things to do either it be in season or out of season. It’s also based a short walk from Porthcawl, so we weren’t stuck for things to do while the sun was out.

I love a caravan holiday, and it always takes me back to childhood memories of family holidays when I was little so to enjoy this with my partner and his boy is very special.

The park itself has lots of activities for kids and adults. We booked the Adventure Golf for all three of us which was quite hard to be fair compared to other courses I’ve done at different sites. Noah done the climbing wall. Noah and I painted some pottery, of course I chose the Highland Cow. We also made sure we had booked into go swimming; however, it seemed very cold! Alongside all of this we had hours of fun in the amusements.

The evenings consisted of Bingo for us adults and I even one on the first night and staying to watch the entertainment afterwards before heading back to the caravan to play board games.

We did choose to take food with us, but we did also eat onsite in the Burger King, Boathouse, Papa Johns and thunderbirds. The only thing I will say is be prepared if you go for the food places not to be open every night.

We also had fun away from the park and just a 2 minutes’ walk out of the caravan we were right by the beach. The sea goes out a very long way until the evenings when the sunsets, so we were able to go on to days to walk into Porthcawl along the beach front. This seems to be our yearly holiday now and we will definitely be looking to go back next year.
