Cream Tea at Chococo

I love Afternoon Tea or just a Cream Tea and it’s always nice to go on a hunt for somewhere new to try with a friend while on holiday for a week.

Today myself and Jackie headed to Swanage on the hunt for a delicious cream tea. Situated behind the shops on the main high street Chococo’s chocolate shop and cafe is a hidden gem.

The staff are polite and welcoming, the smell of chocolate is divine and the array of items in both the shop and cafe are out of this world.

At £5.50 a Chocolate Afternoon Tea consists of a mug of house hot chocolate with a chocolate of the staffs choice, a chocolate chip scone, dulce de leche and clotted cream.

The hot chocolate was the right amount of bitter to sweet and just perfect for me. They have many a choice to choose from if your more of a darker chocolate drinker or just want to try something different.

The scone was served nice and warm, perfect to help spread the toppings. It was the right amount of crumbly and the ladies serving had already cut it so I didn’t have to worry about having a chunky half and a thin half. With the dulce de leche and the clotted cream on top it was a match made in heaven!!

I would highly recommend seeking these guys out if you are in Swanage or just after a cream tea with a difference. For those of you not into something so sweet, they also serve savoury afternoon tea too.
