Makla – Breakfast Review

At the weekend I ventured to a new place on the Southbourne list for breakfast. Makla is own for its excellent food and I never realised they do a breakfast menu. Safe to say on finding this out myself and Jack walked up the road to try it out.

The Food

Makla serves up some amazing Moroccan cuisine and I was excited to see items such as The Makla, Shakshuka and The Boss Omelette on the breakfast menu.

I opted for The Big Brekkie, which came with 2x eggs (of choice), 2x pork sausages, crispy potatoes, half grilled tomato, mushrooms, ciabatta, and baked beans. A decent plate of food was served and for £7.95 it was definitely worth the money. You also have the option to add on extras, but I did not need it.

Jack ordered The Makla, served with 2x lamb merguez sausages, two poached eggs, grilled tomato, a harissa hollandaise sauce and sourdough. I didn’t try any of this, but it looked incredible.

Would I recommend this place for breakfast? Of course, I would! Perfect portions, incredible price, and great service.
