The best kept secret of Southbourne!
I’m definitely more of a drinks at a pub or bar girlie than heading to night clubs with friends, and what’s better than finding somewhere new to go?
Who’d have known that above The larder House in Southbourne lies a magical word of cocktails? The Library is quite unique, giving off old library vibes that you’d see in country manor houses. A homely feel with staff who are very welcoming and helpful and the perfect place to tip on cocktails while enjoying great company.
On arrival you are taken through a locked door upstairs and taken to a table. Everything is table service, however we did venture to the bar to pay.

The Cocktails
For our first round I ordered the Ramos Gin Fizz (double gin, orange blossom, lemon, sugar, whites, cream and soda water). This is one of the best cocktails I’ve ever tasted and if you are a Gin lover like myself would highly recommend. Jack ordered the Hurricane (Rum blend, Mango, coconut and lemon) Another perfect cocktail in my eyes!

For the second round I ordered a Bramble which is not on the menu, but perfectly made and beautifully fruity. Jack ordered an Old Fashioned (whiskey, sugar and bitters) Sadly this one is not for me, I’m truly not a fan of whiskey.

This is the perfect place for somewhere different for drinks, they even do bar snacks too, as who doesn’t want something to munch on when you have a drink? They also have events on weekly so check out their website and Instagram to see what is on as this changes throughout the seasons.
